L’engagement des individus pour le développement durable : une étude quantitative des achats et des usages durables

Abstract

Nous proposons d'étudier l'engagement des individus pour le développement durable (DD) sous l'angle de l'achat de produits durables mais aussi par le biais des usages quotidiens et ordinaires. Une enquête quantitative auprès de 308 individus met en évidence 5 composantes de pratiques durables qui structurent l'engagement des individus pour le DD : les achats de produits biologiques pour des motivations liées à l'environnement et à la santé, les achats de produits équitables pour des motivations de justice sociale et de goût et enfin des usages économiques et environnementaux. Une classification par nuées dynamiques débouche sur 5 classes d'individus : 2 classes d'individus qui combinent achats et usages durables, 1 classe d'individus qui ne se caractérisent que par les usages durables, 1 classe d'individus qui n'ont que des achats durables et enfin, 1 classe majoritaire d'individus non concernés.
