Abstract

Si les relations que la Chine entretient avec l'Afrique sont largement rapportées par la presse et si des réflexions plus scientifiques commencent à être de plus en plus nombreuses, il y est plus souvent question de l'Afrique subsaharienne que du Maghreb. Certes, les grèves en Algérie tant d'employés chinois que de salariés algériens ou encore vietnamiens des entreprises chinoises sont connues. De même, le rapatriement de travailleurs chinois – une trentaine de mille – lors de la rébellion libyenne a été largement diffusé. En revanche, peu est dit du rôle que la Chine pourrait effectivement jouer dans l'économie de ces pays et de la diversité des situations de ceux-ci dans leurs relations économiques avec la Chine. C'est la question que nous tenterons de traiter ici en réunissant les statistiques tant celles émises par les institutions internationales (CNUCED) que par la Chine via son ministère du Commerce (MOFCOM). Successivement, nous aborderons l'investissement direct chinois, les importations de produits chinois et les exportations de produits maghrébins. Puis, en conclusion, nous comparerons les relations sino-algériennes aux sino-marocaines.
