Partir à tout prix ? La résistance du désir de vacances des Français face à la crise

Abstract

En tant que bien économiquement supérieur, c'est-à-dire particulièrement sensible, à la hausse et à la baisse, aux évolutions des ressources des ménages, et qu'activité nécessitant un niveau minimal de planification temporelle, le tourisme devrait être particulièrement affecté par un double contexte économique et de l'emploi plus que morose. Or les indicateurs clés des pratiques touristiques des Français s'avèrent résister plutôt étonnement bien. Le désir de vacances et de voyages semble intact, nécessitant pourtant des efforts budgétaires considérables pour maintenir coûte que coûte la possibilité de partir. L'article quantifie et met en perspective ce constat sur la période 2007-2013 autour de trois dimensions : les taux de départ, le nombre de séjours et de nuitées, les dépenses touristiques. Le raisonnement économique est en conclusion rapproché d'enquêtes portant sur la valeur sociale et les motivations des vacances pour les Français.
