Abstract

«Au croisement de l'idée républicaine et du socialisme, l'œuvre et la trajectoire de Constantin Pecqueur (1801-1887) marquèrent d'une empreinte discrète le premier XIXe siècle français. Ce recueil de contributions permet de découvrir ce penseur politique et économique méconnu. Les essais publiés ici reviennent sur les principales phases de son œuvre et de sa vie, signalent les influences majeures, analysent ses idées économiques, politiques, sociales et morales dominantes. Ils permettent également de s'interroger sur les multiples liens à ses contemporains – de Louis Blanc à Martin Nadaud – et encore de se poser la question de la réception ultérieure de son œuvre.» (Présentation de l'éditeur)
