Abstract

Le Colloque International Cinéma et sciences sociales « Filmer le travail, films et travail » qui s'est tenu à Aix en Provence en novembre 2007 s'inscrit dans une histoire - souvent mal connue des chercheurs – celle des relations entre l'image et les sciences sociales. L'introduction ici proposée aux Actes de ce Colloque en rappelle les différentes étapes, en dégage les enjeux successifs, et soutient à l'aide d'exemples que le regard porté sur les images, faites ou à faire, est pris dans l'imaginaire social d'une époque qu'il s'agit de décrypter pour en déjouer les obstacles.
