Abstract

Le genre -notion anglo-saxonne- a été importée dans un champ de travaux engagés en France depuis plusieurs décennies sur la base du sexe comme sexe social, également comme sexe biologique. Trois conceptions du genre, souvent emboitées émergent des nombreux travaux de recherche, ils constituent trois parties du propos : le genre comme objet de recherche, les femmes acteur social et politique, individuel et collectif ; le genre comme outil, une catégorie d'analyse ; le genre comme système d'interprétation, le concept de rapports sociaux de sexe.
