Les habiletés émotionnelles des policiers d'élite

Abstract

Les policiers de services spécialisés déploient des habiletés émotionnelles lors de leur activité. Les risques physiques et psychologiques, inhérents à ces métiers, constituent des risques psychosociaux (RPS), qu'il est possible de prévenir et de considérer à différents niveaux de l'institution policière : au niveau organisationnel (gestion des ressources humaines, ou GRH), au niveau managérial, et aux niveaux de l'individu et des collectifs. Ces policiers représentant un cas d'école de gestion des émotions au travail, la parole leur a été laissée à propos de leurs différentes techniques de régulation émotionnelle, dans le cadre d'une recherche exploratoire qualitative, par entretiens semi-directifs avec guides d'entretien (Monier, 2014 ), menée en GRH en 2013. Des policiers en fonction et/ou s'étant retirés des services (recherche assistance intervention dissuasion : RAID ; brigade de recherche et d'intervention : BRI ; groupe d'intervention de la police nationale : GIPN ; et autres services de l'État), ayant (eu) ou non des fonctions de management, ont livré de précieux témoignages sur l'expression de ces habiletés.
