S'immerger pour émerger. La singularité des modes d'ouverture des BRIC

Abstract

Proposer une analyse comparative des trajectoires d'émergence des BRIC est en soi une entreprise riche d'enseignements. Elle permet en effet de faire émerger des faits stylisés qui aident à comprendre ces dynamiques multidimensionnelles et changeantes, qui s'étendent sur une génération. Nous nous tiendrons ici à un raisonnement en deux temps : d'abord,revenir sur l'idée que l'émergence de ces pays a été rendue possible par leur observation scrupuleuse des prescriptions de la théorie standard, en examinant des conditions institutionnelles de leur immersion dans l'économie mondiale. Ensuite, reprendre les indicateurs courants de l'ouverture économique pour mettre en évidence la diversité des trajectoires d'insertion de ces économies. Ce chapitre conclut sur les perspectives qu'offre pour l'analyse l'application d'une approche revisitée des avantages comparatifs aux situations singulières des BRIC.
