Abstract

Plutôt qu'une description de ses modalités, ses difficultés et ses résultats, c'est une réflexion sur la nature même de ce que l'on a appelé « transition » qui est ici proposée. La transition est donc un phénomène historique d'évolution systémique, un laboratoire à ciel ouvert pour analyser la dynamique des institutions et l'impact de ce changement sur l'évolution économique des pays concernés. Analyser la dynamique institutionnelle dans le cadre de la transition suppose de se doter d'une définition des institutions et d'outils pour analyser leur émergence et leur évolution, et pour ce faire, les approches institutionnalistes offrent des perspectives intéressantes. En particulier, les approches institutionnalistes ontologiques, qui mettent les institutions au cœur de leur projet, semblent les mieux à même de nourrir l'analyse de la transition en tant que phénomène de dynamique institutionnelle. Afin de fonder une analyse économique évolutionnaire des institutions, nous nous proposons dans un premier temps de spécifier la notion d'institution retenue dans cet ouvrage, avant de rendre compte des principes de la dynamique institutionnelle.
