Abstract

La Louve is a future not-for-profit cooperative and participative supermarket, it will be located in the 18th district of Paris. It is based on the original and prosperous model of the New-York cooperative Park Slope Food Coop (16000 members) and will open by the beginning of 2016. Like its american model, La Louve is based on the voluntary work of its members, who will be the future buyers. At this stage, the supermarket is being developed by them, insuring in this way all of the work. Through the case study of La Louve, we want to know in what does this mode of self-production renews the cooperative model of consumption in France?
