Abstract

L'initiative populaire helvète "Monnaie pleine" propose d'interdire la "création de monnaie" aux établissement financiers. L'objectif de cette proposition constitutionnelle est de limiter la spéculation financière mais les limites d'une telle réforme sont nombreuses. Plutôt que d'amputer les banques de leur pouvoir de création monétaire, il serait préférable de les inciter à renouer avec leur vocation sociale fondamentale : financer l'économie réelle au service de la prospérité commune.
