Abstract

Considering that love has no price, if you are willing to have a bit of it, you have to pay for it, so perfectly "pay", as the song says it, with all the love you have! This eternal truth, a common knowledge very familiar to anthropologists, unfortunately seems to be ovelooked by economists and policymakers obsessed with the rational agent choices. In these times of economic and social upheavals, amid crises that only call for austerity plans, the circulation of all such a wealth we have is however not so simple, because even deep down in the anthropological structures of exchange any sentimental vow joins rational choice in a strategy as inevitable as any other austerity.
