Abstract

The issue of relations binding diverse organizations is a primary concern for third sector organizations, due to their project-based design. Based on social identification theory, the purpose of this study is to understand the connection between inter-organizational identification and the emergence of inter-organizational competences, and to promote effective management practices. Our results are grounded on a comparative analysis of two projects led by an inter-organizational work group, composed of nonprofit organizations.
