Abstract

Cet article s'interroge sur la récurrence du focus asiatique dans les travaux cherchant à qualifier des économies au développement particulièrement rapide : NPI ou économies émergentes. Si la définition de ces dernières ne constitue pas ici la priorité, une catégorie spécifique de pays émergents est néanmoins qualifiée : les émergents majeurs. Ces derniers se caractérisent notamment par un marqueur externe : leur pouvoir dans les négociations internationales.
