Abstract

This article is about an analysis and evaluation of the contributions of healthcare systems (and their costs) towards social progress in France. By crossing the works of sociology of the quantification and the A. Sen's approach of human development and the notion of capabilities, the article stresses the necessity of knowing the redistributive tems to effective rights for the health and the access to healthcare. This knowledge and certain indicators begin to be produced, in particular regarding accessibility to the health system.
