Abstract

Ce chapitre s'intéresse à deux grappes de travaux portant sur les systèmes d'innovation. La première prend sa source au cours des années 1950, initiée par Perroux et prolongée par de Bernis, elle regroupe des propositions sur les industries, motrices, industrialisantes, clefs, nouvelles ou matures. La seconde se constitue à partir du concept de système d'innovation et voit le jour dans les années 1990. Le propos prend comme point de départ l'analyse de la compatibilité entre ces deux ensembles de travaux, avant d'analyser les concepts cléfs de chaque grappe. L'analyse du concept pérousien d'industries motrices révèle d'une part, pourquoi certaines industries sont plus susceptibles que d'autres de générer de la croissance, d'autres part, l'importance de certains concepts liés comme celui d'industrie "mues". Les industries industrialisantes de G. de Bernis sont, par la suite, lues comme un prolongement, une déclinaison, des industries motrices, dans la perspective de processus de développement. Nous montrons comment l'application au cas algérien va déclencher un débat passionné au cours des années 1970.
