Abstract

Économie de la connaissance, créativité, innovation semblent constituer le tiercé gagnant de ce début de siècle. Certaines régions ou territoires ont la réputation d'offrir des terreaux fertiles sur lesquels cette économie se développe, c'est particulièrement le cas des grandes agglomérations. On parle alors de territoires innovants, de métropoles créatives ou villes créatives. Aujourd'hui beaucoup de collectivités territoriales mettent en place des politiques publiques visant à développer la créativité et l'innovation. On observe à travers le monde des initiatives aux objectifs et aux moyens très variés. Derrière tous ces projets des questions essentielles se posent : Une ville, une métropole, un territoire peuvent-ils se décréter créatifs ? Quel rôle pour les acteurs publics vis-à-vis des territoires créatifs ? Cet ouvrage propose d'éclairer les concepts : Qu'est-ce qu'un territoire créatif ? Quel est le lien entre territoires et industries de la création ? Les pouvoirs publics peuvent-ils en favoriser l'émergence ? Au travers de l'analyse de quelques exemples, Montréal, la Silicon Alley à New York, Bilbao et Londres, la diversité des enjeux et des situations sera analysée.
