L'envers de la performance: étude de cas rétrospective d'un processus d'échec entrepreneurial

Abstract

Alors que l'entrepreneuriat est récemment apparu au cœur de la société française comme l'une des « nouvelles causes » adoptée sous nos latitudes en réponse à un contexte de « crise », l'échec entrepreneurial de ceux à qui « tout devait réussir » consacrent des enjeux encore inexploités. L'objet de cet article est d'interroger comment un échec entrepreneurial advient et se construit malgré des chances de succès optimisées. Nous appuyant sur la méthode de cas unique, nous avons ainsi mobilisé différentes sources empiriques pour reconstituer a posteriori l'enchaînement des configurations entre l'entrepreneur, l'entreprise et l'environnement. Les ressorts de ce processus et de ses phases successives se comprendront au regard de l'évolution du poids territorial de l'accompagnement.
