Abstract

Le taux de population âgée de plus de 60 ans passera d'environ 20% aujourd'hui en France à plus de 30% à l'horizon 2030. Le nombre de personnes âgées de plus de 75 ans va doubler pendant cette même période. L'augmentation de la dépendance augmentant avec l'âge, la problématique de la prise en charge des personnes âgées dépendantes devient cruciale pour la France, comme pour beaucoup d'autres pays européens, d'autant plus que, dans de nombreux cas, les effets du vieillissement se conjuguent aux maladies chroniques et " favorisent " un état de grande fragilité, tant du point de vue sanitaire que de celui de la dépendance.
