Abstract

This article makes a brief analysis of the current situation of Latin American studies in Portugal. In order to do so, the author uses data from a survey conducted among the staff of Portuguese universities, mainly among those who hold responsibilities upon their fields of study. This article focuses on Hispanic Latin American studies, and not on Brazilian studies.
