Abstract

Après avoir caressé le rêve romantique d'être la voix de ceux qui n'ont pas de voix, l'écrivain francophone en arrive à s'interroger sur les limites de la représentation dans le texte littéraire. Dès lors, certains auteurs usent du peuple non plus comme d'une thématique mais plutôt comme d'une voix travaillant le texte en profondeur et faisant basculer les limites génériques et auctoriales. Des exemples de la littérature francophone dite de " l'immigration " et celle des pays du Maghreb et du Machrek nous permettront de voir comment le paradigme du peuple peut faire trembler l'écriture sur ses bases ou renvoyer à l'aporie consistant à écrire pour le peuple dans une langue qui n'est pas la sienne : où l'interrogation sur la langue d'écriture permet aussi de saisir une image diffractée du peuple.
