Abstract

This paper is a family firm case analysis. Socio-economic intervention-researches have been carried out in this company for several decades, which enabled me to access many field materials. I decided to name this company "PR" as to ensure business confidentiality, which is essential to succeed in our collaboration. Moreover, this longitudinal study enables an in-depth analysis of family firms' internationalization issues. This contribution is part of my PhD research work. Socio-Economic Approach to Management Socio-Economic Approach to Management (SEAM) was created by Henri Savall in 1974. The postulate of this research stream is that organizations rest on a fabulous treasure: hidden costs and performance, caused by social and economic dysfunctions. These can be -sometimes, easily- converted into added value by the firm. Savall, Zardet & Bonnet (2000, 2008) insist on the importance of the human potential concept, as, both the hidden cost-performance origins and the strategic lever to enhance change: organizational change (macro view) and company actors' behavior change (micro view).
