Abstract

Les mauvaises conditions de travail ont un coût caché exorbitant qui compromet le développement économique de l'entreprise. Partant de ce constat, ce livre analyse et évalue d'un point de vue tant social qu'économique un certain nombre d'expériences destinées à améliorer l'organisation et les conditions de travail. Ces évaluations montrent que l'efficience sociale et l'efficience économique peuvent être compatibles dans les entreprises actuelles. L'amélioration du confort et le développement des aptitudes du personnel grâce à la " formation intégrée " produisent, sous certaines conditions, des performances économiques positives. Ces expériences conduites ou analysées par l'auteur lui ont permis d'élaborer une nouvelle conception de l'entreprise fondée sur une analyse sociale et économique intégrée, dite approche socio-économique. La théorie des coûts et des performances cachés liés aux conditions de vie au travail et le concept de " contrat d'activité périodiquement négociable " constituent la clé de voûte de cette indispensable reconstruction de l'entreprise.
