Abstract

Pourquoi combiner des informations qualitatives et quantitatives ? Comment accéder à un terrain de recherche ? Pourquoi une recherche en sciences de gestion ne saurait s'arrêter à l'analyse et implique des propositions solidement validées ? Pourquoi conduire des entretiens avant d'élaborer un questionnaire pertinent ?... Voici quelques-unes des questions méthodologiques auxquelles cet ouvrage s'efforce d'apporter des réponses, des conseils, des propositions, assortis d'exemples très variés. Améliorer le niveau de qualité de la production de connaissances scientifiques en gestion est l'orientation générale de ce livre. Il propose un ensemble de méthodes fondées sur des bases épistémologiques solides pour concevoir, bâtir, conduire un processus de recherche, puis en communiquer les résultats. Une importance particulière est accordée à l'observation scientifique approfondie, à la place du terrain dans le processus de recherche, à la collecte des matériaux. Un guide pratique (chap.6) propose aux doctorants et aux directeurs de recherche des indications, outils et conseils pour la conduite opérationnelle de la préparation de la thèse.
