Abstract

Dans le Grand Sud de Madagascar, la population de la zone délimitée par le système d'alerte précoce bénéficie chaque année, au moment de la période de soudure, d'une aide alimentaire devenue chronique. La question qui se pose aux interventions de l'aide alimentaire dans le Grand Sud est la suivante : comment identifier les ménages les plus vulnérables à aider prioritairement ? Cette question interpelle aussi le chercheur. L'objectif de cet article est de lancer, à la lueur de l'analyse des expériences passées, de nouvelles pistes pour un ciblage plus efficace des bénéficiaires de l'aide alimentaire, tout en menant une réflexion sur la situation de vulnérabilité alimentaire de ces ménages. Il s'agit notamment d'explorer les liens entre le concept de vulnérabilité et les besoins en aide alimentaire des ménages.
