El modelo BID-Idearse de responsabilidad social empresarial. Casos CEMEX y FEMSA: resultados, retos y posibilidades para las PyME de México

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como propósito el compartir una experiencia exitosa de un modelo de intervención en responsabilidad social para 20 PyME, de la cadena de valor de Cemex y FEMSA, llevada a cabo durante 2006-2008, como parte del proyecto del Instituto de Desarrollo Empresarial de la Universidad Anáhuac (IDEARSE) "Implantación de medidas de responsabilidad social en la cadena de valor de grandes empresas", patrocinado por el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo. A partir del diagnóstico de madurez en responsabilidad social, las empresas intervenidas lograron una mejoría sustancial en sus indicadores de desempeño, así como en su nivel de madurez de responsabilidad social, especialmente en las empresas cuyos líderes empujaron la implantación de las medidas sugeridas por los consultores especializados. El reto se plantea en mantener el incipiente sistema de gestión desarrollado por las empresas.
