Abstract

Les sciences sociales en savent-elles plus aujourd'hui qu'hier ? C'est à cette question que des spécialistes de huit disciplines ont répondu, de manière à la fois qualitative et contrastée. Le thème de la cumulativité touche au cœur même de l'activité et de l'évolution de chacune des sciences sociales. Le savoir ne se présente pas comme un empilement de propositions, mais il est formé d'énoncés qui sont articulés entre eux et qui se renouvellent sans cesse dans leur contenu comme dans leur interprétation. C'est ce mouvement incessant de formation et de révision des croyances savantes que les auteurs essayent d'appréhender. Toutes les disciplines des sciences humaines sont ici conviées.
