Abstract

Dans les premières décennies de l'après-guerre, l'expression " économie de marché " servait à désigner les économies distinctes de celles des pays du " socialisme réel ", dites " économies planifiées ".Même si le capitalisme de cette époque de compromis social n'avait pas la violence propre au capitalisme néolibéral, cette terminologie s'imposait déjà pour désigner les économies capitalistes. De fait, " économie de marché " constitue une manière détournée de dire " capitalisme ". Il est facile de comprendre le succès de cette formule euphémique désormais consacrée, car parler de " capitalisme " suggère directement l'existence de " capitalistes ", c'est-à-dire d'une classe sociale dominant un système hiérarchisé, alors qu'" économie de marché " renvoie à une société d'égaux.
