Abstract

Cet article rend compte d'une démarche novatrice conduite conjointement par les directions du design et de l'ingénierie de Renault, qui a permis de faire apparaître de nouvelles formes de cooperation possibles, et de poser les bases d'un nouveau modèle d'organisation de la relation entre design et ingénierie. Tout en constituant une forme de rationalisation de la relation design - ingénierie appropriée aux nouvelles organisations de la conception et aux nouveaux processus de développement des véhicules, ce modèle dessine aussi un cadre possible pour le management de projets de conception innovante autres que l'innovation de design, appuyé sur les notions d'objet de conception d'espace de pré-exploration.
