Abstract

Más allá de una diversidad de situaciones nacionales y regionales, América Latina presenta rasgos comunes que le confieren un lugar particular en el mundo. Una posición que se destaca por una serie de atributos, de éxitos, de evoluciones positivas pero también por un cierto número de rezagos y de problemas que frenan su desarrollo. Todas estas características constituyen sendos motivos de intervención para una institución de desarrollo como la AFD. Sin embargo, para ello requiere disponer de ventajas comparativas, definir sistemas de cooperaciones originales y diversificadas así como construir estrategias de alianza. Un objetivo que implica identificar y puntualizar los grandes desafíos económicos y sociopolíticos de la América Latina contemporánea. Es propósito de este trabajo contribuir a ese conocimiento
