Abstract

The object of this article is to analyze French-speaking work relating to SME and entrepreneurship, such as they arise from publications carried out in international conferences of the Association Internationale de Recherche en Entrepreneuriat et la PME (AIREPME). The 363 communications presented from 1995 to 2004 comprise 1683 bibliographical key words and 13323 references. Three great questions are raised: Which are the developments of research on SME and entrepreneurship? Is is a specialized or a transverse field of research? Does research on entrepreneurship and SME comprise features specific to the French-speaking community?
