La science économique comme théorie du choix rationnel est une science morale et normative

Abstract

Cette communication commence par la critique de la distinction entre tradition éthique et conception mécaniste. En conformité avec cette critique, elle donne ensuite les raisons pour lesquelles elle considère, comme Sen, que l'économie est une science morale et elle présente les deux sens que prend cette proposition à propos de l'économique de la société moderne. Ainsi, elle prend appui sur l'analyse des modes de justification dans l'histoire et de la façon dont se pose le problème de l'articulation entre les justifications personnelles et les justifications générales dans ce genre de société. Elle établit alors le bien fondé de la proposition selon laquelle la science économique néoclassique est une science morale au premier sens.
