Les déterminants organisationnels des formes d'absentéisme : une analyse comparative entre les jeunes et les seniors

Abstract

L'objet de cette communication est d'analyser les facteurs organisationnels influençant les différentes formes d'absentéisme des jeunes salariés et de comparer ces résultats à ceux obtenus en réalisant cette même étude sur des seniors. L'approche méthodologique est quantitative. Les analyses portent sur deux échantillons composés de salariés de catégories d'âges différentes : des salariés de moins de trente ans (n = 5239) et des salariés de plus de 50 ans (n = 4770). Elles sont effectuées au moyen d'un modèle Logit multinomial. Certains facteurs organisationnels (la monotonie, la variété des compétences, les horaires individualisés et les nuisances thermiques) ont une relation forte avec l'absentéisme des jeunes alors que ces même facteurs ne sont pas associés à l'absentéisme des seniors. Cette recherche souligne l'importance de l'influence différenciée sur l'absentéisme des jeunes et des seniors de l'organisation du travail, des conditions de travail et des relations sociales.
