Comment gérer les raisons multiples de la normalisation de la qualité ?

Abstract

La normalisation et la certification de la qualité des processus, des produits et des services marchands soulève de multiples paradoxes: elle contribue à "hyper-rationaliser" l'organisation de l'entreprise (selon l'expression de Wiener), mais, en réifiant son adaptation au changement, elle peut entraîner ses acteurs dans un processus de " régression" (au sens de Freud), qui inhibe leurs capacités créatrices. Cette perception négative de l'organisation scientifique de la qualité est toutefois contredite par l'amélioration des conditions de travail et par l'accélération du progrès technologique, qui sont généralement constatées au sein des entreprises adeptes de la "qualité totale". Ces contradictions apparentes invitent à une relecture philosophique et psychologique des approches de la normalisation de la qualité.
