La mesure comptable des marques à l'heure de l'intégration européenne : une disparité préoccupante

Abstract

Au moment où l'intégration européenne entre dans une phase décisive, notamment au plan financier, on observe une diversité préoccupante des méthodes relatives à la mesure comptable des actifs immatériels, et plus particulièrement des marques. Cette disparité s'observe aussi bien au niveau des textes en vigueur dans les pays concernés qu'au niveau des pratiques des entreprises. Une analyse comparative du dispositif institutionnel dans trois principaux pays européens (France, Allemagne, Royaume-Uni) ainsi qu'au niveau international (IASC) met en relief d'importantes différences doctrinales en matière de reconnaissance comptable des marques ; différences accrues par l'hétérogénéité des méthodes d'évaluation. Une étude statistique, portant sur 150 sociétés réparties sur les trois pays étudiés et sur cinq secteurs d'activités, complétée par une enquête qualitative auprès de 22 responsables, permet de tester les différentes hypothèses issues du cadre institutionnel.
