Abstract

Ce chapitre analyse les enjeux économiques du développement culturel de la ville de Nantes et les raisons du succès de la politique conduite. Deux périodes sont distinguées : une première période qui s'appuie sur le soutien à des initiatives singulières (Folles journées, Royal de Luxe, Les allumés et le Lieu unique...), une seconde période qui vise à créer sur l'Ile de Nantes, un quartier de la création. Le succès de cette seconde phase passe par une bonne articulation entre initiatives institutionnelles, initiatives privées commerciales et initiatives associatives.
