Abstract

La problématique du développement durable revêt une singularité apparemment restée inaperçue: celle d'avoir servi de support privilégié à la mise en place de nouvelles formes de médiations entre savoirs scientifiques et programmes politiques. Il convient, pour être en mesure de formuler les enjeux de ces médiations, de mettre en évidence au préalable les sources d'inspiration et les références multiples auxquelles se rattachent les diverses conceptions du développement durable, ainsi que l'extraordinaire complexité des réseaux d'acteurs qui s'en réclament et des intérêts dont ils sont porteurs dans la vie économique et sociale. Connaissance et intérêt sont plus qu'ailleurs, les concepts nécessaires à la compréhension d'un processus singulier et cependant universel de coproduction de savoirs scientifiques, d'exigences sociales, de normes juridiques et de compromis politiques.
