Abstract

La création d'entreprises innovantes a fait l'objet d'attention de la part des chercheurs du fait de la complexité du processus qui consiste à transformer une opportunité en entreprise. Leur croissance, en revanche, a été moins explorée. La littérature montre toutefois que les jeunes entreprises connaissent, dans leur ensemble, une croissance limitée inscrite dans des rythmes de développement non linéaires. Création et croissance apparaissent donc comme des processus particulièrement complexes. Cet article s'interroge précisément sur leur relation. Si nombre d'entreprises innovantes ne parviennent pas à atteindre la croissance, c'est bien que le passage entre ces deux moments clefs n'est pas naturel.
