Abstract

Malgré la multitude de travaux en management de projet sur le rôle et la place du chef de projet dans l'entreprise, ainsi que sur les compétences que doit détenir le chef de projet " idéal ", peu de travaux ont été entrepris pour comprendre la dynamique globale du métier de manager de projet. Cet article se propose de donner vie à un métier considéré désormais comme un métier à part entière et particulier, en agissant simultanément et de façon cohérente sur plusieurs leviers de gestion. Pour définir et illustrer les principaux leviers d'une démarche d'organisation et de pilotage de la dynamique du métier de chef de projet, nous nous appuyons sur une étude de cas menée chez IBM. Nous proposerons alors d'analyser la dynamique du métier de chef de projet à partir de trois dimensions : cognitive, relationnelle et identitaire.
