Abstract

The contribution of Marie-Agnès Barrère-Maurisson and Diane-GabrielleTremblay, co-ordinating of the France and Québec project " Conciliation family-work: inventory of conditions and practical of the " intermediate actors ", considers this contradiction with the middle of the articulation professional life, family life and private life, its causes and its consequences, at the same time individual (mainly for the women), family and, more largely, societal. The two authors clarify the stakes, in terms of public policies. They in particular recommend "the assumption of responsibility of the parentality in employment " and call their wishes for an evolution of the "parental roles" (in particular of the fathers).
