Abstract

La crise financière qui débute en 2007 a surpris tous les observateurs. Peu de temps avant l'été, nombreux étaient ceux qui anticipaient une augmentation des taux de défaillance sur les prêts hypothécaires à risque, les fameux prêts subprimes. Mais personne n'imaginait que cela puisse déboucher sur une crise financière d'une ampleur telle que certains n'hésitent pas à la comparer à celle de 1929.Comment en est-on arrivé là ? Quelles sont les conséquences de cette crise ? Quelle a été la réponse des autorités ? Comment mieux réguler le système bancaire financier ? Un an après les premiers soubresauts, ce rapport du Conseil d'analyse économique propose des réponses à ces différentes questions.
