Abstract

Este artigo intenta facer un balance das formas de integración rexionais da industria maquieira mexicana. A industria maquieira de exportación que se desenvolve inicialmente na fronteira cos Estados Unidos coñeceu, grazas á evolución do sistema xurídico, unha difusión en todo o país. A partir da zona franca de exportación industrial fronteiriza, situada sobre un territorio limitado circunscrito (26 km cara ao interior e 3.000 km de fronteira), pasouse á creación de puntos francos en todo o país. Estes puntos beneficiáronse das mesmas condicións fiscais que aquelas que se aplicaban na fronteira de México. Así e todo, parece que o desenvolvemento, a integración no tecido local, a evolución das condicións de traballo, as relacións profesionais, a integración técnica e tecnolóxica, a captación da man de obra, a constitución do mercado de traballo e as cualificacións non se desenvolveron da mesma forma.
