Abstract

Mobile Financial Services (MFS) have proliferated throughout Bangladesh in recent years, especially in rural regions where conventional banking services are scarce. This expansion has generated new chances for small-scale rural entrepreneurs to obtain financial services, digital payment options, and enhanced transactional efficiency. The increasing adoption of MFS platforms like bKash, Nagad, and Rocket has allowed rural entrepreneurs to participate in various income- generating ventures with enhanced financial flexibility. This study seeks to investigate the impact of three principal factors—MFS accessibility (MFSA), MFS usability (MFSU), and financial literacy (FL)—on rural entrepreneurial performance in Bangladesh. This study identifies rural entrepreneurial success as the dependent variable, with MFSA, MFSU, and FL serving as the independent factors. A structured questionnaire was created to accomplish the purpose, drawing from prior studies. A non-probability random selection method was employed to deliver 320 questionnaires to rural entrepreneurs via field surveys and digital linkages, resulting in 158 completed responses. Data analysis was performed utilizing SPSS (version 26) to assess correlations and evaluate hypotheses at a 5% significance threshold. The findings demonstrate that MFSA, MFSU, and FL exert a substantial favorable influence on rural entrepreneurship success. The report closes with significant implications for policymakers and MFS providers, as well as recommendations for further research.
