Abstract

Actes des 31èmes journées du longitudinal, 11-12 juin 2026, Montpellier. En amont du marché du travail, le système éducatif français demeure l'un des plus inégalitaires parmi les pays de l'OCDE. Une segmentation scolaire est à l'œuvre qui tend à reproduire les inégalités liées à l'origine sociale et, en tout cas, ne les réduit pas sensiblement malgré la massification de l'enseignement supérieur. À cette segmentation scolaire semble répondre une segmentation voire une balkanisation du marché du travail. Cela n'empêche pas certains individus de dégager des marges de manœuvre, de faire preuve d'initiative et de résilience. L'approche longitudinale offre ici un cadre d'analyse privilégié pour décrypter les formes modernes de tension entre les déterminismes structurels et l'agentivité des individus.
