Abstract

Le dossier thématique, consacré aux « autres mort·es », se penche sur la façon dont, à différentes époques et en différents lieux, les personnes décédées considérées comme différentes, étrangères, ou dont la présence est contestée donnent lieu à un ensemble de relations, de pratiques et de revendications. Il s'interroge sur les communautés qui se forment autour de ces morts et sur les soins et la valeur qui leur sont accordés tant au Maghreb que pour les Maghrébins à l'étranger. Autour des rites funéraires et des cimetières, le droit d'être reconnu·e, accueilli·e et inhumé·e dignement constitue un enjeu et un objet de luttes qui mettent en lumière des processus d'exclusion, de domination et d'inégalité et montrent comment le traitement des mort·es est un moment crucial des modes de faire société entre les vivant·es.
