Post-Pandemic Strategic Resilience Framework of the Davao Region’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise: An Exploratory Factor Analysis

Surviving the COVID-19 pandemic is one of the greatest feats that every micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) should be proud of. However, holding to its after-effects, known as post- COVID 19 years, is of another story. This paper aims to unravel the post-pandemic strategic factors of the Davao Region's Wholesaling and Retailing Sectors as they journey and survive the post-COVID 19 years. To achieve the research objectives and answer the research problems of this paper, a descriptive-developmental research design was used utilizing pseudo-factors. Moreover, a literature-based and self-made research instrument, which undergo reliability test using Cronbach's Alpha was utilized. In addition, to come up with appropriate number of respondents, Yamane's Formula was applied resulting to a sample size of 500 respondents. Moreover, stratified sampling technique was used to properly distribute the respondents per province. Likewise, to analyze the data, this paper utilized the appropriate procedures, guidelines, and complied with the assumptions of the exploratory factor analysis using the principal component analysis. The results showed that the post-pandemic strategic factors of the Davao Region's Wholesaling and retailing MSMEs were Digitalization Adoption, Operational Resilience and Social Responsibility, Government Support Utilization, and Formulation of Structured Training and Development.
