Abstract

This presentation investigates consumer preferences for the key dimensions of the Territorial Circular Bioeconomy (TCB), with a view to informing the development of a future TCB label. Using a solid soap made from brewer's spent grain (BSG), a major by-product of beer production, as a case study, we design a Discrete Choice Experiment (DCE) among 2,000 French consumers to estimate willingness to pay for bio-based, circular, and territorial attributes. This work aims to contribute to a better understanding of how consumers value by-product valorisation, and to provide actionable insights for firms and policymakers engaged in TCB value chains.
