Abstract

Aujourd'hui, le problème du gaspillage alimentaire persiste malgré les actions de lutte existantes. La recherche académique sur le sujet avance, mais d'autres voies de recherche sont nécessaires pour comprendre le processus motivationnel global. Ainsi, l'objectif de cette étude est d'appliquer la théorie motivationnelle de l'autodétermination (TAD- Deci et Ryan, 1985) sur ce sujet du gaspillage. Un modèle global alliant les besoins innés d'autonomie, de compétence et d'affiliation aux différents types de motivation, ainsi qu'aux conséquences attitudinales et comportementales, est proposé. Une expérimentation s'appuyant sur deux messages sélectionnés selon les préconisations de la TAD est également réalisée, afin d'affermir la pertinence d'utiliser cette théorie. Les résultats montrent que seuls les besoins d'autonomie et d'affiliation impactent respectivement les motivations intrinsèque et extrinsèque. Les effets de ces besoins sur les intentions et les gestes anti gaspillage permettent de détecter des leviers d'actions pertinents qui sont consolidés par les résultats de l'expérimentation.
