Abstract

Dans le débat public, la transformation des locaux tertiaires en logements (dite ici « la transformation ») est le plus souvent abordée à travers des opérations d'envergure, portées par les grands acteurs du secteur immobilier : promoteurs, foncières et investisseurs. Ces projets concernent principalement des immeubles de bureaux situés dans les marchés des grandes métropoles, en particulier en Île-de-France. Mais la transformation est un phénomène bien plus divers qu'il n'y paraît. Élargir la focale à la France entière et à l'ensemble des locaux d'activités sans restriction de taille permet d'en dessiner plusieurs géographies.
