Abstract

Et si la projection dans le futur devenait un levier d'engagement dans le présent ? Alors que la nostalgie et l'immédiateté ont fait l'objet de nombreux travaux en marketing, cette recherche s'intéresse au futur comme ressource expérientielle. En mobilisant le concept de « scénario de l'inacceptable » de Gaston Berger -des récits d'avenirs non souhaitables destinés à orienter les choix actuels -nous analysons comment la projection dystopique peut renforcer l'engagement étudiant lors de l'intégration universitaire. L'étude s'appuie sur l'analyse d'un dispositif immersif déployé lors de la journée intégrative 2025 de l'IAE Corse auprès de 300 étudiants : onze scénarios dystopiques liés à des enjeux RSE (pollution marine totale, crise d'accès à l'eau potable, discriminations en entreprise) matérialisés par des artefacts narratifs (faux reportages TV, infographies) co-construits un groupe d'étudiants en projet tuteuré et co-animé avec des associations du territoire. Les résultats préliminaires révèlent que (1) la projection dystopique agit comme catalyseur d'engagement émotionnel et cognitif générant une mobilisation immédiate ; (2) les artefacts imitant les codes de documents authentiques renforcent l'immersion et facilitent l'entrée dans l'action collective ; (3) cette expérience partagée intense contribue à la construction du sentiment d'appartenance à l'institution et au territoire. Cette recherche ambitionne d'enrichir la compréhension du rôle des temporalités fictionnelles dans l'expérience de consommation en articulant marketing expérientiel, design fiction et prospective. Elle démontre que la projection dystopique constitue un levier d'engagement durable pour les transitions sociétales et ouvre des perspectives pour penser le futur comme ressource marketing au-delà des seules dimensions de nostalgie et d'immédiateté.
